S-type of Inter-Connector

S-typeThe S-type of Inter-Connector, generally used for small LCD's for applications like watches, is the core of the range of elastomeric Inter-Connectors. It consists of alternating conductive and non-conductive layers of silicone rubbers. Conductivity is provided by dispersed conductive carbon particles in the conductive layers. Randomly positioning the Inter-Connector between contact pads and providing compression will realize a stable connection.

Furthermore, the S-type is used as core in other derivative Inter-Connectors.
