Assist Carrier

Assist Carrier is the FPC/PCB carrier for device mounting process, consist of long proven heat-resistance sticky silicone rubber layer and newly developed non-silicone rubber layer along with the metal board.
Both silicon and non-silicone rubber have great characteristics which compatible with Pb-free solder.
Non-silicone product achieve completely free of silicone.

Siloxane:

Base material used for Assist Carrier has reduced Siloxane content at re-flow condition.
The newly developed non-silicone is completely free of Siloxane.

Adhesion strength after re-flowing:
A carrier with typical silicone material has characteristics of increased adhesion strength after the reflow process that result in device fall off from FPC and bowing of FPC.
Shin-Etsu Assist Carrier has change of adhesion strength controlled within 2 times of before and after re-flow process to minimize the aforementioned adverse effects.
